MILDRED HAWVER
September 30, 1997

Mrs. Mildred E. Hawver, 89, of Palatine Bridge, died Tuesday at Palatine Nursing Home after a long illness.
Born April 7, 1914, in Stone Arabia, she was the daughter of Leonard Young and Loretta Murdock. She was educated in the Stone Arabia Country School and was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Hawver was a homemaker,
She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church in Stone Arabia. She also was a member of the Missionary Society of United Methodist and a member of the Ladies Circle of the church.
She married Burrell Hawver on April 15, 1939.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, Robert B. Hawver of Caroga Lake; two sisters, Ethel Jewell of Canajoharie and Marion Prall of Palatine; two grandchildren, a great-granddaughter and several nices, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at the Salem United Methodist Church in Stone Arabia, with the Rev. Dr. Camillus Mourice officiating. Burial will be in Fort Plain Cemetery.
Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 20 Otsego St., Canajoharie.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salem United Methodist Church.
