Frances "Fanny" died in Ogden, while visiting her daughter Mary Frances Neville Bartlett when she was about to deliver her youngest child, David Bartlett. Fanny died of pneumonia, and was buried in Ogden, although her name and the date she died is inscribed on the Windsor, Missouri gravestone of her husband Reverend John Thomas Neville, along with her oldest son Ralph.
