Funeral services for Mrs. Eppie H. Boles, 100, of Maryville, were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2001, from Maxwell Chapel Church of God with Rev. Rex Boles officiating. Burial was in the Maxwell Chapel Cemetery with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Boles died Tuesday, June 19, 2001, at her home in Maryville. She was a housewife and a member of the Maxwell Chapel 1st Church of God.
Born June 15, 1901, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Georgie and Dora (Langford) Hawkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Simpson Boles.
Survivors include three sons, Clyde Boles, and Georgie B. Boles, both of Hilham, and Rex Boles, McMinnville; two daughters, Lola Sullivan and Lillian Grossi, both of Maryville; a sister, Frona Hill, Sparta; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Don Sullivan, Darrell Boles, Michael Matheny, Tom Grossi, Jeff Bilyeu, and Jerry Bilyeu.
