Mrs. Minerva Brown died very suddenly at her home 2551 N. Shelton on Monday in the morning Dec. 20, 1909 of apoplexy of the heart. She was a devoted and consistent Christian and was loved by her neighbors and friends. She was born in New Orleans, LA and was 52 years of age at the time of her death. In 1872 she was married to Rev. Anderson Brown and four daughters blessed their union, two of whom, Mrs. Loretta Devereraux and Mrs. Lillie Thomas, survive her. In 1879, her husband and family she moved to Kansas City, KS where she resided until the family moved to Oklahoma in 1889. Five years ago she came to this city. She was a member of New Hope Baptist church. A husband, 2 daughters, 2 grandchildren and a sister are left to mourn her demise.
