Mary Maxine (Hawes) Hardesty was born October 2, 1925 in Highlandville, Missouri the daughter of Gladys (Hammond) and Jesse L. Hawes. She completed this life on Saturday, January 7, 2012 in Tulsa at the age of 86.

She married Martin Leon Hardesty September 11, 1942 and he preceded her in death on May 1, 2008. They owned and operated Hardesty Jewelry Company in Tulsa for over 40 years. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her son, David Leon Hardesty.

She is survived by her sons, Donald W. Hardesty of Glendora, CA and Gary D. Hardesty of Claremore, OK; her brother, James Hawes of St. Louis, MO; and her Grandchildren, Chris, Mike, Angela and Martin Hardesty.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel. Entombment will be in the Memorial Park Mausoleum.
