DAVENPORT - Mass of Christian Burial for Shirley H. Schwab, 83, a resident of Davenport,
will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2008, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Rock
Island, Ill. In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation. Burial will be in
Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. Mrs. Schwab passed away at her home on Wednesday,
December 17, 2008.

Shirley was born August 18, 1925, in Davenport, the daughter of Henry and Lillian (Kuehl)
Haut. She was united in marriage to Carl M. Schwab on January 15, 1949, at St. Alphonsus
Catholic Church in Davenport. Carl preceded her in death on March 2, 2000. Mrs. Schwab's
memberships included St. Mary's Catholic Church, Rock Island.
Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Schwab, of Davenport; a son and
daughter-in-law, Mark and Deanna Schwab, of Bettendorf; and a grandson, Joseph, and a
step-grandson, Darren, both of Bettendorf.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Rock Island, or the Human Society.
