Obituary - Mrs. Arden Hathaway.
The death messenger summoned Mrs. Lizzie Hathaway Thursday evening after a prolonged illness. During the past ten days she had been very ill with flu and bronchial pneumonia. She had been a sufferer with heart trouble for the past thirteen years but bore her suffering with great patience and cheerfulness.
Deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Wilson and was born in Wayne county, Iowa, November 15, 1869, and passed from this life March 18, 1926, aged 56 years, 4 months and 3 days. In 1888 she moved with her parents to Union county, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Arden Hathaway in 1892. They resided in Union county until 1907 when they moved to Letcher, S. D., moving from there to Hettinger, N. D. They resided in the Dakotas until 1920 when they moved to Pine River, Minn. On account of her failing health they returned to Iowa in November, 1924, and since then have resided with his mother near Tingley, Iowa. In 1910 she united with the Methodist church at Hettinger, N.D. Those left to mourn her death are a loving husband, two sons, Cecil, of Imogene, S.D., and Arthur, of Pine River, Minn., and four grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Ella Horner, of Mott, N.D., three brothers, George and Charley Wilson, of near Shannon City, Iowa, and Frank, of California; her parents, one sister and a brother having preceded her in death. She also leaves a large number of other relatives and friends by whom she will be greatly missed.
Yes, thou art gone from us, dear mother,
But we cherish and love thee still;
We cannot wish thee back again
For it was the Master's will.
Thou hast labored long and faithful;
Thy loving kindness we'll ne'er forget;
Tho' we are left to mourn and sorrow,
And to grieve with lashes wet.
Funeral services were held at the Tingley M. E. church Monday afternoon by Rev. C. R. Young and interment made in the Tingley cemetery. Those from a distance who attended the services were Mesdames Oral Graham and Anita Shroder, of Creston, Mrs. Jas. Lee and son Bryan and B. W. Goodale, of Diagonal.

CARD OF THANKS.
We desire to thank the friends and neighbors for acts of kindness and words of sympathy during the illness and on the occasion of the death of our wife and mother; also for the lovely floral tributes; and to the choir for the music and B. W. Goodale for the solo.
