At an early age Beatrice Manson Hatchett joined the First Baptist Church, Harrison Street, Petersburg, VA. She participated in all aspects of the church with her parents and sister. Later, she joined the Calvary Temple Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ where her husband was a member. She was a member of the Calvary Temple Young Adult Choir.
Beatrice was a graduate of Peabody High School in the Class of 1964, and earned an associates of science degree from Richard Bland College. She was a retired employee of Central State Hospital where she worked for over 35 years and had many, many friends. "Bea," as she was affectionately called, was well loved by family and friends.
A funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, 2002 from the Calvary Temple of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Petersburg, VA.
Professional services entrusted to the staff of the Shirley P. Johnson Funeral Home, 451 Halifax Street, Petersburg, VA.
