"Marie Pritchard Dies
Marie S. Pritchard, 76, a long-time Laramie resident, died Friday, July 25, at Ivinson Memorial Hospital.
She was born Dec. 22, 1909, in Greeley, CO, a daughter of Frank and Ida Mae (Forman) Hatch. She moved to Laramie with her family at the age of 4 in 1913, attended prep school and graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in education.
Mrs. Pritchard taught in rural schools a number of years before becoming clerk for the Pacific Fruit Express during WW II.
She was married to Wayne Pritchard June 16, 1940, at the First Baptist Church in Laramie.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Rebekah Lodge and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. Her hobbies were needle work, fishing and camping.
Surviving are her son, Robert, and his wife Gail, of Oak Park (Chicago), Ill.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 29, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the Plains at Bussell Funeral Home, the Rev. Dr. Walter D. Hickman officiating.
Interment will be at Green Hill Cemetery.
Rebekah services will be held at Bussell Funeral Home prior to interment."
