Clara Hatch Cannon "We Love You" Clara Hatch Cannon, 88, found peace on July 4, 2005. She was born April 3, 1917 in Panguitch, Utah to Melt and Irene Syrett Hatch.
She married Howell Lee Cannon on July 23, 1936 in the Logan LDS Temple. A faithful member of the LDS Church, she served in many callings. Her favorite being ordinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple. Her greatest joy was her family.
She adored her granddaughters and great-grandchildren. She was a talented seamstress. She loved to read, travel with her husband, sing, dance, play the piano, write poetry, knit, crochet, quilt and embroider. She liked to watch baseball games, thunderstorms, and American flags flying in the wind.
She worked with the Girl Scouts and was a PTA president. She retired from Granite School District in 1979.
She is survived by her daughter, three granddaughters, four great grandchildren and two brothers, Verl and Melt (Nila) Hatch. Preceded in death by her husband, son, parents, two sisters, Nina and Ola.
The family would like to thank Juanita Kiplinger, Crosslands and Life Span for their kindness and loving care. Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 9, 2005 at 11:30 a.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S. Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah. Friends may call Saturday morning from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, prior to the graveside.
