SMITHFIELD, Utah - Veral Jane Hatch Bartlett, our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend passed away peacefully on Friday, Feb 19, 1999 at her home in Smithfield, Utah. She was born April 11, 1929 in Bancroft, Idaho to Ammon Call and Olive Hogan Hatch. She was reared in Bancroft and attended the Bancroft schools, graduating from North Gem High School. Vera accomplished a lot in her life. She was a member of the LDS Church, and held many positions. She enjoyed working with people. Vera touched many lives, and she will be missed greatly by all that knew her. Vera attended Ricks College and Nampa Business College. She served in the United States Marines. She worked at the High Rise Caferteria on Utah State University campus in Logan, Utah. She worked at Weber State as a manager for the Promintory Tower. She later retired from the Logan Regional Hospital. Vera had made her home in Smithfield for the last 28 years, since 1971. She was a member of the Smithfield 13th LDS Ward. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and they loved and enjoyed her more than anything. She is survived by one son, Gerald Bartlett Jr. of Midvale, Utah; and two daughters, Debbie (Troy) Johnson, Millvile, Utah and Tina (Dave) Wells, West Valley, Utah; four grandchildren, Melissa and Adam Johnson and Rachel and Sara Wells; many nieces and nephews; two brothers, Joe (Sharon) Hatch of Grantsville, Utah, and J. Ansel (Phyllis) Hatch of Chesterfield, Idaho and Mesa Ariz; and a sister-in-law, Connie Hatch of St. George, Utah. Her mother and father, two brothers, William N. Hatch and J Ansel Hatch preceeded in death. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 24, 1999 at the 13th Ward LDS Chapel. Burial will be in the Chesterfield Cemetery in Chesterfield, Idaho.
