Mr. Hatch, a life long resident of the Hatch Bend community of Lafayette County, was engaged in farming until ill health forced his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, the former Mae Lindsay of Lafayette County; his mother, Mrs. W. K. Hatch, Branford; four daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Lackey, Columbus, Ga., Mrs. Dorothy Hawkins, O'Brien, Mrs. Avis Rahe Cheney, and Miss Jeanette Hatch, Branford; eight grandchildren; four brothers, Jess of Tampa, R.E. Barney and T. A. Hatch, Branford, and two sisters, Mrs. Alma Hill, Branford, Mrs. Annie Cox, Jacksonville.
