Clifford Hatch Funeral Services Held in Glines
Funeral Services were held in the Glines LDS Ward Chapel Monday at 11 a.m. for Clifford Hatch, 83, of Vernal who died of natural causes Thursday of last week in the Uintah County Hospital.
Mr. Hatch was born April 6, 1885 in Vernal to Jeremiah and Henrietta Clark Hatch. He married Ethel Shaffer February 7, 1908 in Vernal. She died November 13 1928.
He married Julia Murphy Davis. She preceded him in death. He was a veteran of World War 1, and a member of the LDS church. He was a farmer and rancher.
Survivors include his sons and daughters, Ralph and Quenton, both of Vernal: Mervin, Stettler, Alberta, Canada: Wanda, Mason, Anthony, Florida: 11 grandchildren: 20 great grandchildren: brothers and sisters, Justis, Rawlins, Wyoming: Clarence A, West Covina, California: Mrs. Odile Price, Burbank, California: Arletta Davis, Wanshup.
The funeral services were conducted by Larry Searle, counselor in the bishopric. Leland Sowards gave the prayer at the mortuary. Enid Cook played prelude and postlude music. W. Monroe gave the invocation.
Glade and Elizabeth Sowards sang "Beyond the Sunset", narrated by Hallie Searle. Larry Searle gave the obituary and remarks, followed by a song, "Silver Haired Daddy of Mine" by Bishop Donnell Wardle, accompanied by Mrs. Cook.
Speakers were Clarence Hatch Jr., and Ralph Siddoway. The Glines Ward choir sang "O, My Father". Clarence Sweeney gave the benidiction.
Burial was in the Vernal Memorial Park Cemetery.
Charles Richens dedicated the grave. Pallbearers included Pressler Woodland, Sherman Richens, Deloy Abplanalp, Vard Openshaw, Bennor Hatch and Cloyd Hatch, with Ivan Hall as honorary pallbearer.
Attending the services from out of town were Clara McCurdy, Murray: Mrs. Charlie Davis, Wondship; Mr. And Mrs. Pressler Woodard, Alamosa, Colorado; Clarence Hatch, Farmington; Bob Hatch and Mr. And Mrs. Cloyd Hatch, Bountifull; Deloy Abplanalp, California; Mr. And Mrs. Sweeney, Dugway; Mr. And Mrs. Bennor Hatch, Sandy.
Mr and Mrs Charley Richens, Mr and Mrs Karl Richens, Mr and Mrs Harry Tomlinson, Mrs Howard Buck, Sherman and Claud Richens, all of Roosevelt.
