LaVon Hatch, 92, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Portneuf Medical Center.

LaVon was born on July 26, 1922 in Arimo, Idaho where she was raised. There, she attended Elementary through High School. She later moved to Preston then to Pocatello.

LaVon was happily married to Joseph Hatch for 29 years. She worked for 15 years in housekeeping for the Bannock Hospital, where she attained the position of Supervisor.

LaVon was a proud member of the Utah Daughters of the Pioneers, and recently watched over the young children in her ward's daycare during services. She enjoyed Crocheting, cooking, collecting elephants, camping, and her grandkids.

LaVon was well loved and touched everybody's heart. She especially loved being around her family and her grandchildren. Family holiday gatherings were what she most looked forward to.

LaVon is survived by two daughters, Louise Larsen and Carma Maden; sons, Garth Winn, Glen Hatch, Steve Hatch; and sister, Vesta Wiggington.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hatch; brothers, Rex Barber and Jack Barber; and granddaughter, Lisa Howarter.

Lavon took great pride in 9 grandchildren 18 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

A gathering for family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2014 from 1-2 pm at the LDS 52nd ward building, 1700 Kinghorn Rd, Pocatello, ID 83202 with services to follow starting at 2pm.

Burial will follow at the Arimo Cemetery, Arimo, ID 83214
