The funeral services over the body of the infant of Mr. and Mrs. Chase Hatch were held at the Hatch residence on Monday. Bishop Joseph A. Rasband took charge of the services and Prof. C. A. Whitaker, aided by others furnished the music. Counselor in the second ward bishopric, David A. Broadbent was the principal speaker of the occasion.
The child with its mother recently went to California to spend a few weeks with relatives. It did not suffer much with sickness or pain, and in fact the night previous to its death seemed as well as usual. When the Doctor was called he gave as his opinion that the child's supply of blood was not sufficient to enable it to withstand the change of climate.
The mother and Miss Kate Hatch who was also visiting in California accompanied the remains home and after the funeral services were over, interment was made in the city cemetery. The community sympathizes with the parents in their bereavement."
