Margery Jane Doxey Hatch 1924 ~ 2007 Margery Jane Doxey was born to Graham Hayes and Leone Watson Doxey on July 31, 1924 in Salt Lake City. She was the first of four children that included Graham W., David W., and Roger W. Doxey. After graduating from East High School, she attended the University of Utah. She transferred to the University of Louisville when her parents were called to preside over the East Central States Mission, graduating with a degree in social work. Margery fell in love with Charles Steven Hatch on their first date in Kentucky. In 1946 they were married in the Logan Temple. They lived in Salt Lake City; Idaho Falls, ID; Palos Verdes, CA and Provo. Margery was active in community service and church work. She played the organ and piano. She was an enthusiastic BYU sports fan. She loved working in the garden, especially among her roses. She was interested in music, art, literature and enjoyed her membership in Cleofon and Literary League. She and Steve traveled widely, touring Europe, South America, Asia and the South Pacific. She was called with Steve to preside over the Belgium Brussels, Mascarene Islands and Zaire Kinshasa Missions.
