Frank was a fisherman and lived in the Happy Hollow area of Buzzards Bay. His parents were Captain Francis Haskell of Deer Isle, ME and Buzzards Bay and Priscilla Ann (Robbins) Pittsley of Brewster and Buzzards Bay, MA.

Frank, 24 and Ellen Frances Sherman, 14, married on December 24, 1902, a marriage arranged by Frank's mother Priscilla Ann (Robbins) Haskell Sherman in the same year Priscilla married William Sherman, Ellen's father.

Frank died of accidental strangulation while chocking on a raw piece of meat at his brother Bill Haskell's home next door. He got up to get a drink of water and fell dead on the floor. He worked right up until the day he died.
