Blossie J. Harvey was born March 20, 1935 to Mr. Sam Jarrett and the late Ivy Jarrett in Ripley, Tennessee. Mrs. Harvey departed this life June 5, 1996 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital at 9:35 p.m.
She was the matriach of not only her family, but also many other people who were touched by her generosity, love and unselfishness, Very few people on this earth have placed other people's wants and needs in front of their own so consistenly as Mrs. Harvey. She will always be remembered as a person who always lent a helping hand and rarely asked for one.
Mrs. Harvey attened Christ Revival Church under Pastor Euneda Williams. She was employed by Metropolitan Rail Lines for twenty-two years.
She leaves loving memories to be cherished by her husband Mr. Robert Harvey, one son Anthony Jarrett, seven children she raised until their adulthood; Timothy, Paul, Renella, Wendy, Rhumda, Rolanda and Anthonly; her father Sam Jerrett, two sisters; Edna (Charles) and Sandra; five brothers; Elzer (Mozelle), Charles (Rose) Booker, James (Lola) and Johnny (Lucille); two aunts; Catherine and Jennie; one uncle Robert Jr., Margie, LaVonne, Elmira, Michael, Rory, Donald, Tracie, and Kevin; two sons-in-law, three daughter-in-law and twenty-two step-grandchildren
