Elsie Claris Harvey Brandon, 86, of Upland, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 18, 2002, in a Hinton hospital following a long illness.

Born Jan. 3, 1916, in Hinton, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Adolphus and Mary Nellie Fitzpatrick Harvey.

Ms. Brandon was a home maker and a member of Upland Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Arvel, Clifford, Donald, and Alphie Harvey.

Survivors include four sons, Patrick and his wife, Delores Brandon, and Mike and his wife, Linda Brandon, all of Hinton, Clinton Brandon of Charleston and Nathan Brandon of Richmond, VA.; two sisters, Myrtle Harvey Adkins of Hinton and Martha Headington of Clare, Mich.; a brother, Lloyd Harvey of Nimitz; nine grandchildren, Laura St. Clair and her husband, Shane, Renae Jones and her husband, Geoff, Kimberly Wood and her husband Mike, Mark Brandon and his wife, Lauara, Garrick Brandon and his wife, Ellen, Tanya Brandon, Craig Brandon, Christopher Brandon and Jonathan Brandon; nine great grandchildren, Klay and Kaleigh Brandon, Kara, Noah, and Jonah Wood, Carley and Matthew St. Clair, Logan Jones and Amber Brandon.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21st. at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel, Hinton, with Pastors Mike Ballard and Mark Brandon officiating. Burial followed in Upland Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Mike Wood, Jonathan Brandon, Shane St. Clair, Geoff Jones, Craig Brandon, and Derrick Leslie.
