Anna Harvey, 83, of West Wyoming, passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, Feb. 24, 2010, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Her loving husband was the late Francis Harvey, who passed away in March of 1979. Born on November 19, 1926, in Nanticoke, Anna was a daughter of the late John and Eva Duleba Sivilich. Anna was the step-daughter of the late Mary (Fedak) Sivilich. Anna was raised in Nanticoke and attended Nanticoke area schools. Prior to her retirement, Anna was employed as a meat packer for the former French Steak Co., Swoyersville. Following her retirement, Anna worked for the family of Dr. Brian O'Donnell, caring for their son, Brian O'Donnell Jr., when he was a child. Over the years Anna spent working with the O'Donnell Family, she grew a close bond with them and always regarded them as a part of her own family. Anna was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, West Wyoming. A generous and giving person, Anna greatly enjoyed spending time with her beloved family. She had a great love for her "granddog," Snickers, who would visit Grammy for his daily cookies. She also looked forward to visits from her other "granddog," ZuZu, from New Jersey. Anna was a woman who loved life and had many interests. She took much enjoyment in watching old movies, baking for her family and tending to her home and garden. Anna especially enjoyed making trips to Atlantic City. A thoughtful and caring woman, Anna will forever be remembered by her family and friends as a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Each of Anna's generous and loving attributes will be deeply missed by every person whose life she touched.
