Born Aug. 25, 1936, in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late Richard F. and Cleo Walters Hartzell and the widow of Albert E. "Jack" "Pap" Adams Jr., who died March 26, 2006.
Lois had previously been employed by McCoy Electronics, the Book of The Month Club and the South Middleton School District.
She was a member of Mt. Holly Springs United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, devoted grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.
She is survived by four daughters, Lois A. (and husband, Bruce) Barner, Robyn A. Porter, Margie A. (and husband, Roy) Shenk, all of Mt. Holly Springs, and Pamela C. (and husband, Christopher) Rutter of Hellam; two sons, Albert E. "Jack" III (and wife, Dorothea) of Boiling Springs and Richard E. of Mt. Holly Springs; a stepson, Paul A. (and wife, Connie) Adams of Carlisle; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carole L. (and husband, John) Rush and Phyllis H. Myers, both of Carlisle; and three nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Carlisle Evangelical Free Church, 290 Petersburg Road, Carlisle, with the Rev. Shad Baker and granddaughter Erin Barner officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery.
