Dr. Frank H. Hartung - Requiem High Mass will be sung for Dr. Frank H. Hartung in St. Michael's Church on Friday morning. Rosary will be said Thursday night in the church. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery. Former associates of his will serve as pallbearers.

Dr. Hartung died here Tuesday at the age of 59. He was born in Tulluride, Colorado. Dr. Hartung, after pre-medical study in Nevada University and Stanford, completed his medical work in St. Louis School of Medicine. He practiced medicine here since 1934, except for nearly four years when he served as an Army surgeon during World War Two as a major, he served largely in the Asiatic Pacific Theater.

He was a member of all major professional associations, including national, state and Thurston-Mason County medical groups. He was also a member of the American Legion, the Olympia Country and Golf Club, Washington Athletic Club, Knights of Columbus and Holy Name Society.

He is survived by his wife, Adeline; two sons, and a daughter, Seattle; a brother, Bernard C. Hartung, Silver Springs, Maryland; and five grandchildren.
