Funeral services for Leonard A. Harton, who died at his home in the Cross Roads community Tuesday morning at 5:05 o'clock, will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Cross Roads Baptist Church.

The services will be conducted by the Rev. Sherron Jackson, and will be followed by interment in the Cayuga cemetery.
The Athens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Harton was born on March 26, 1895, in the community in which he died. He had been engaged in farming all of his life.

In 1913 he was married to Miss Lellie Davis.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, Pfc. David Royall Harton, overseas, Cpl. Ancelum Harton, U.S. Marines, San Diego, California, and Pfc. Vernon Ray Harton, U.S. Marines; one daughter, Mrs. Mae Springer, Cross Roads; three sisters, Mrs. Ruby Blackabee, Raton, New Mexico, Mrs. Pearl Barton, Fort Worth, and Mrs. Jewell Barton, Cayuga; and two brothers, A.G. Harton of Eastland, and C.W. Harton of Cross Roads.

Cpl. Ancelum Harton has seen three years of overseas service and is holder of the Purple Heart and five Presidential Citations.
