Rose Lee Gilley, of Essex, departed this life December 10.
She was employed at Bethlehem Steel in Baltimore for over 20 years and worked in the shipyard cleaning the ships. When Bethlehem Steel folded, she went to work at The Coast Guard yard. She fought a very short battle with cancer of the voice box, which then went to her lungs.
Ms. Gilley is survived by her mother, Carles Hartley of Essex; a son, Ronald Wayne Gilley Jr. of Essex; a sister, Linda Brady of Essex; two brothers, Seebert Hartley of Glen Rock and Richard Hartley of Essex; two nieces, Sabrena Meyerhoff of Aspers and Jessica Brady of Essex; two nephews, Richard Hartley Jr., currently serving in Afghanistan and Jay Brady Jr. of Essex; and two grand-nieces, Kristiana Lewis of Middle River, Md. and Alexandra Meyerhoff of Aspers.
She was preceded in death by her father, Seebert L. Hartley Sr. and one nephew, Seebert L. Hartley III (CB).
