MARY W BYRNE, 76, of Harte Street, Phillipsburg, died Saturday, Feb. 26, in Warren Hospital. She, with her late husband James F Byrne, who died in 1980, was co-owner of the Hillcrest Shop and the Hillcrest Card and Gift Shop in Phillipsburg. Mary was a volunteer at the Phillipsburg Library and Warren Hospital. Born Feb. 28, 1923, in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Michael J. and Madeline Lindley Hartigan. She is survived by 4 children, James F. Jr. of Boone, NC, Robert M of Lima, Ohio, Thomas P of Allentown and a daughter, Eileen Cummings, of Littlestown, PA. There are 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Sts. Philip and James Church in Phillipsburg, with burial in Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem. Arrangements by Finegan Funeral Home, Phillipsburg.
