Wife of Nathan Greenlee Hart (1840-1914). Daughter of Hiram Frederick Miller and Nancy (Fansher/Fancher) Miller.
The Humeston New Era, Humeston, Iowa, Wednesday, Aug. 1, 1906
Mrs. N.G. Hart died at her home, two and a half miles north of town, Wednesday, July 25, at 11:15 a.m. Emily Miller was born at Fayette county, Ohio in 1843, and came to Iowa in 1850, her early life being spent in Jefferson county. In 1864 she came to Wayne county and in 1868 was married to N.G. Hart. To this union was born three children, Hiram Hart, Mrs. O.L. Frame and Mrs. J.C. Boyce, who were all present during her last moments and who, with her husband are left to mourn her loss. At the age of 21 she united with the Baptist church of which she was a consistent member until her death. She has been a sufferer for about
ten years, but for the last eight months she has suffered intensely, being confined to her bed much of the time, especially the last four months. She was as patient as extreme suffering would permit, and perfectly resigned and her end was peace. The funeral services were held at the home Friday, conducted by Rev. Bradford and the remains were interred in the Humeston cemetery.
