Statesboro - Mrs. Dorothy Rushing Hart, age 80, died Sunday at East Georgia Regional Medical Center.

She was a native and life long resident of Bulloch County and was a member of the Elmer Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Hart.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Gordy Franklin; one son, J. Garry Hart; one granddaughter, Heather Franklin, all of Statesboro; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Sara Ardelia Rushing of Miami, Fla., and Betty and Gene Seymour of Yulee, Fla.; one brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Arpa Ruth Rushing of Register; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The graveside service and burial will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Lower Lotts Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Carl Ledbetter officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Eastern Heights Baptist Church Building Fund, 23805 Highway 80 East, Statesboro, Ga. 30458.

Hodges-Moore Funeral Home of Statesboro is in charge of the arrangements.
