B.F. Hartman died at his home on East Eighth avenue Saturday night of heart failure. Mr. Hartman was born in Marietta, Pa., Oct. 29, 1837, and came to Winfield in 1877. He leaves a wife,two children and four grandchildren to mourn his death. His surviving children are Mrs. T.J. Barnthouse of Winfield, and G.E. Hartman of Wichita. The funeral services occurred at the house Monday afternoon, Rev. T.W. Jeffrey preaching the sermon. Tohee Tribe No. 8, I.O.R.M., of which the deceased was a member, had charge of the funeral, and accompanied the remains to the Union cemetery.
