Rockdale, Texas, July 11. -- A funeral service was held here Tuesday for Mrs. Mary Frances Astin, 91, who died at the home of a daughter, Miss Nathaniel Astin, in San Antonio. Mrs. Astin was a native of Georgia but came as a bride with her husband, the late N.H. Astin, to Texas and settled at Pleasant Hill. She leaves nine daughters and sons: Mrs. Nell Welchel and Mrs. C. Shaffer of Houston, Mrs. Henry Leverett of Austin, Mrs. Mattie Stockton of California, Mrs. W.W. Blocker and J.D. Astin of Rockdale, Charles Astin of Arkansas and Miss Nathaniel Astin of San Antonio.
