Barbara Jean (Howard) Harrison, 83, of Bremond, TX passed away Saturday; June 16, 2012. Funeral services are scheduled for 10AM on Wednesday, June 20th at Day Funeral Home Chapel in
Madisonville with the burial to follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Normangee. A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday from 5 – 9 at Day Funeral Home Chapel.
Barbara was born on March 16, 1929 in Houston to Andrew and Mattie (Walling) Howard. She met and married Richard "Red" Harrison from Normangee and together they raised eight children while living and working in Houston.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sons, Terry and Victor; her daughters, Barbara Haislip and Carolyn Cox; and her grand-daughter, Lynette Harrison.
Barbara is survived by her children, Martha Ratliff and husband Donnie of New Caney, Cheryl Thacker and husband Sam of New Caney, David Harrison and wife Patty of New Caney, Richard Harrison and wife Kathy of Reagan, daughter-in-law, Karen Harrison of Bryan; sisters, Reatha Sprouse and Clara Siems; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
