Dilma Harrison, 69, Lapel, passed away Feb. 5, 2007, at Community Hospital, Anderson, following an extended illiness.
Born March 2, 1937, in Greensburg, KY, the daughter of Lucian and Alice(Gardner)Simpson. she graduated from Green County Schools.
Dilma made a profession of faith in Christ early in life. She had been active in Brownies, Girl Scouts, bowling, and especially her church. The last few years she attended the Ford Street United Methodist Church regularly in Lapel.
Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Edward A. Harrison; one daughter, Gail (Chris) Whicker of Sheridian; two stepdaughters,Donna ( Jim) Needham of Anderson, and Teresa Hadley of Sheridian; seven grandchildren, Crystal(fiance' Mark Catron) Parks and Cody Parks, both of Sheridian, Ryan (Jennifer) Needham of Shelbyville, Stephanie Hadley, Stewart Hadley, Cody Walton, and Jordan Leiter, all of Sheridian; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Florence Wyatt and Shirley(James) Long, all of Indianapolis, and Joyce Akin of Greensburg, KY; five brothers, Jim Simpson, Dean(Wilda) Simpson, Bob (June) Simpson, and Junior(Lydia) Simpson, all of Greensburg, KY; and Wayne(Janie) Simpson, of Franklin; four nieces, eight nephews and two aunts , one uncle and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by parents; sister Lola Simpson; and many other loved ones.
