Nellie Mae Harris was born in the Town of Northfield, Jackson County, July 31, 1895. She was married to Ernest Dettinger, also of Northfield, November 7, 1917.
To this union five children were born, namely; Harold, Mahlon and Milton, all at home. One son and one daughter preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband and three sons, and her aged mother, Mrs. Sarah Harris. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. Guy Christenson, of Chippewa Falls. Her father passed away when she was but three months old, her only brother, Ebon died three
years ago.
Mrs Dettinger was baptized and confirmed in the lutheran faith and remained true to that faith until the end. She was a most devoted wife and mother and will be sadly missed by her loved ones as well by her many friends. The deep sympathy of all goes to her husband, and sons and mother, who were so close to her and who sadly mourn her death.
