Colleen Blackbourne, 75, of Farmington, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at her home. Colleen was born May 29, 1936, in Farmington, the daughter of Merle Harris and Lora (Lee) Harris Finch.
Colleen loved golf and hit a hole-in-one - twice. She also love to play the slots, and decorating. She made the best fried chicken and beans. She was a cancer survivor of 10 years.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Colleen was preceded in death by her parents, Merle Harris, John C. and Lora Finch; her sister, Monna Mae Fry; and her husband, Pete Blackbourne.
She is survived by her sons, Rocky G. Wood and Coy G. Wood, both of Farmington; daughter, Terry L. Pettit of Waterloo, Iowa; stepson, Bruce Blackbourne; stepdaughters, Rita Jarvis and Mendy Donaho, all of Gillette, Wyo. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 23, great-grandchildren; brothers, John C. (Sue) Finch of Bloomfield, and Clete Finch of Albuquerque; sisters, Tanna (Danny) Ryell of Flora Vista, and Cinda (Darrell) Jones of Bloomfield.
Funeral services for Colleen will be at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Daints, Apache Building, 400 W. Apache St. in Farmington, with Bishop Carroll Carter conducting.
Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, 1606 N. Dustin Ave. in Farmington.
Pallbearers are Josh Wood, Shannon Drake, Mark McDaniel, Aaron Mobley, Rex Lee and Ryus Finch.
Honorary pallbearers are Wyatt Onken, Sheldon Finch, Kelvin Jones, Mike Drake, Daniel L. Pettit II and Anthony South.
Colleen's services are entrusted to Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St. in Farmington, 505-325-8688.
