Etha Anderson rites Tuesday

Services for Ethelynn "Etha" Anderson, 85, 806 W. Kirkwood, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Kincaid officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visittion will be from 7 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to First Christian Church.

Mrs. Anderson died Friday afternoon in Centerville, Ohio, where she was spending the winter with her son.

Born June 26, 1899 in Batavia, Mrs. Anderson was the daughter of Charlie and Mary Fisher Harris.

She married Harlan A. Anderson on June 25, 1927 in Batavia. They lived their entire married life in Fairfield. He died Nov. 16, 1957. Mrs. Anderson was a member of First Christian Church, American Legion Auxiliary, and Retired Teachers.

Surviving are a son, Melvin of Centerville, Ohio; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five brothers and sisters, Millard and Carl Harris, both of Branson, Mo., Irene Cundy of Roswell, N.M., Ernest of Golden, Wash., and Mary Beccera of Clear Water, Fla.

A brother and two sisters preceded her in death.
