MADELINE M. DeVORE Age 87, passed away December 4, 2006 in Burbank. Madeline was born on May 22, 1919 in Jerome, Idaho, and moved to Burbank at the age of two. After graduating from Burbank High School , she worked as a secretary in the Burbank schools for several years. She remained at home while her two daughters were growing up and later worked as a buyer for the Los Angeles Valley College Bookstore.
She was a lifelong member of First Christian Church in Burbank. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Perl Harris, and her beloved husband Joe.
She is survived by two daughters, Cinda (and Steve) Cates of Burbank, and Jolene (and Scott) Munson of Chatsworth; her four grandchildren, Ryan (and Lisa) Cates, Tim (and Lesli) Cates, Brett Munson and Alison Munson; and three great-grandchildren Ruby, Layla and Aiden Cates.
A graveside service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 8, 2006, at Forest Lawn - Hollywood Hills, 6300 Forest Lawn Dr., Los Angeles. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 9, 2006, at First Christian Church, 221 S. Sixth St., Burbank, CA 91501.
