Survivors include his devoted companion, Thelma Richardson of Greenville; two daughters, Valerie Richardson and Vivian Richardson, both of Greenville; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six sisters, Mary L. Harris, Curley (Dennis) Curtis and Shirley M. Harris, all of Greenville, Frankie (David) Brown and Rosetta Collins, both of Chicago, Ill., and Nona Walls of St. Louis Park, Minn.; six brothers, Otis Lee Harris, Turner Barron and Sylvester Harris, all of Greenville, Curtis Lee Harris of Jacksonville, Fla., Frank Barron Jr. of Rock Island, Ill., and Robert Earl Harris of Las Vegas, Nev.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation is Friday from 1 to 6 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home Chapel, Greenville. Remains will lie in state Saturday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the church.
