Mrs. Cora M. Cory, 78, died Sunday at 8 a.m. at her farm home six miles south of Lawrence, in the house where she was born and where she had spent her entire life. She had been ill for a year with heart trouble.
She was born July 25, 1862, the daughter of Mr. Frank Harris and Frances Etson Harris, pioneer residents of Van Buren county.
She leaves her husband, Frank, and one son, Hugh, whose home is just across the road from the old homestead.
All her life Mrs. Cory was a member of the Methodist church of Lawrence, and of the Ivy club, a group of women of her home community.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Thompson funeral home in Lawrence. Rev. Edwin H. Bradfield, retired Methodist minister, will officiate. Burial will be in Hill cemetery.
