Marion was the son of Thomas Smith Harrell and Nancy Caroline Kirby.

He was married to Rose Etta Ponsler
on 27 Nov 1904.

They had three children:
Berneice Harrell (Malin),
Virginia Harrell (Stoner) and
Russell Harrell.

MARION HARRELL DIED THURSDAY

Marion O. Harrell, 64, of 2315 North A street, died at the Mercy hospital at1:41 o'clock Thursday afternoon of complications following an illness of ten weeks.

Born September 17, 1880 in Ripley county, he was the son of Smith Thomas and Nancy Harrell.

He was married to Miss Rose Etta Ponsler on November 27, 1904.

Mr. Harrell was an employee of the Delco Remy Corporation in Anderson. He was a former employee of the Carnegie-Illinois Steel Corporation here for twenty-three years. He was a member of the East Main Street Christian church.

Survivors with the widow are two daughters, Mrs. Berneice Malin, of Whiteland, and Mrs. Virginia Stoner, of Elwood, and one son, Russell Harrell, of Elwood; three sisters, Mrs. Lucy Shaw, of Helton; Mrs. Ida Smith and Miss Carrie Harrell, of Chicago, and a brother, Claude Harrell of Penn Grove, New Jersey. There are five grandchildren.

The body was removed to the Clark Chapel where it will remain. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 o'clock from the East Main Street Christian church. Rev. V. Hayes Miller, pastor of the Orestes Christian church will be in charge. Burial will be made in the city cemetetery.
