Billy Edgar Harper, 88, of Clovis, NM died December 14, 2015 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, TX. Services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, December 18, 2015 at The Chapel, 1500 Thornton, with Pastor Furgus Tunnell officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens. Justin Cupp, Brandon Coates, Chance Cupp, Colten Cupp, Billy Harper Jr., Bobby Cupp, and Chad Cupp will serve as pallbearers. Military honors will be presented by US Army Honor Guard.

Billy was born December 16, 1926 to Claire Harper and Della Wright Harper in Imperial, CA. He married Nancy Longley July 7, 1987 in Texico, NM. Billy served in the US Army from 1946 to 1947. He worked as a Manager at Walco Vet Supply. He was a member of the Am-Vets. Billy enjoyed doing his yard work, cooking, canning, and he was the Chairman of the Neighborhood Watch.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Harper of the home; eight daughters, Sharon (Richard) Acosta, Cindy Schnider, Lorna Harper, Tressa Harper, Pam O'Malley, Connie Frazier, Lela Harper, and Stephany Karales; seven sons, Billy E. Harper Jr., Leonard Harper, Allen (Alisa) Cupp, Bobby (Lisa) Cupp, Chad (Rae) Cupp, Jimmy Karales, and Mike Frederick; a sister, May Galatitoto; nine brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; 25 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Clara Dell Butler and Joy Kiler.
