Mrs. Ida D. Harnish, of Alexandria, widow of Josiah D. Harnish, died at the J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital on Saturday morning, June 11, 1938, at 2:33 o'clock. Death was caused from shock, as the result of a fall in her home the previous evening.
She was the daughter of David and Margaret (Isenberg) Hileman, and was born on a farm near Waterstreet on February 9, 1862.
She was married to Josiah D. Harnish, son of Peter and Catherine (Homer) Harnish on February 14, 1884. He preceded her in death a number of years (sic-months) ago.
She leaves to mourn her passing four sons, Lynn H. Harnish and A. Erle Harnish, all of near Alexandria, Alton R. Harnish, of York and one daughter, Lillian B. Harnish, at home. Two brothers, W. S. Hileman, of Wilkinsburg and Alton Hileman, of York, and six grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.
She was a member of the Christ Reformed Church at Alexandria.
Funeral services were held at the Harnish home on Tuesday morning, June 14, 1938, at 10:30 o'clock, with the Rev. Guy Moyer and Dr. Blanchard Black, officiating. Interment was made in the Presbyterian cemetery in Alexandria. Brown's funeral service.
