Saltillo – Marie Harmon Elliot, 60, passed away July 21, 2015 at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson, MS.
She was born November 28, 1954 in Houston to William Lynn Harmon and Hazel Brock Harmon. She was a retired seamstress of thirty two years for Action Industry. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Shannon, MS. She loved her family and grandchildren. Marie was a very giving person.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Houston Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Rhodes officiating and Jerald Harmon delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow at Macedonia Methodist Church Cemetery in Houston. Houston Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include: daughter, Megan (David) Hendrix of Guntown; sisters, Diane (Johnny) Linley of Houston, Lynda (Roger) Smith of Ridgeland, Kathy (Joe) Overstreet of Plano, TX, and Judy (Curtis) Haire of Houston; brothers, Jerald (Pam) Harmon of Houston, Michael (Paula) Harmon of Houston, Danny (Nikki) Harmon of Houston, Dennis (Melanie) Harmon of Brandon, and Mark (Dottie) Harmon of Houston; grandchildren, Kyle Sullivan, Hunter Davis, and Cheyenne Cox all of Guntown; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tom Elliott, of 28 years; and sister, Hazel Denise Harmon.
Pallbearers are Joe Harmon, Trent Harmon, Mitchell Harmon, Larry Linley, John Linley, Jr. and Grant Smith. Visitation will be Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM service time.
