Donna Sue Harmon Batson, 69, of Prairie Creek, passed away Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010, in Union Hospital. She was born June 10, 1941, in Terre Haute, to Claude Harmon and Flora Grubb Harmon. Donna worked at R.H. Donnelley Corporation for 25 years, and she also owned D&L Ceramics.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester, who passed away Dec. 29, 2004; her parents; and her sister, Carolyn Rexroat. She is survived by her daughter, Sue Goucher and husband Kevin of Terre Haute; and her son, Roy Newlin of Prairie Creek; sisters, Sharon Strain and husband Jack of Prairie Creek, and Marilyn Lutz and husband Dick of Lewis; two grandchildren, Heather Howard and Ryan Goucher; two great-grandchildren, Ariel and Megan Maxwell; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, at 1 p.m., at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th St., in Terre Haute, with visitation from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Watson Cemetery.
