James Harmon

Mr. James C. Harmon, son of the late, Mr. Clint Harmon and Mrs. Annie B. Roby Harmon was born June 6, 1942, in Attala County, MS.

He attended the Kosciusko City Schools and graduated in 1963 from Tipton Street High School. He had two years of college at Jackson State University.

In 1965 he married his high school sweetheart, Martha Ann Ashford. They were blessed with three beautiful children.

James never met a stranger. He had many friends and associates. By trade, he was a truck driver and welder.

He departed this life on Sunday, July 13, 2003, at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital in Kosciusko, MS.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Ann Harmon (better known as Bobbie); two sons, James Eric (Melissa) Harmon of Frankfort, Germany, and Lanier A. Harmon of Kosciusko, MS; one daughter, Jacqueline Harmon of Talladega, AL; four sisters, Mrs. Bernice (Willie) Jackson of Fayetteville, NC; Mrs. Babrare Veasley of Milwaukee, WI; Mrs. Elizabeth (Ray Charles) Davis and Mrs. Mary Ann (Lindale) Davis both of Kosciusko, MS; five grandchildren, Cordy Tyre Tuck, Tabatha T. Harmon, Amir L. Harmon, Codee L. Harmon, and Treshawn Harmon. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
