My Uncle Eddie was born on Belmont Ave on Chicago's NW side. He was the youngest son of Maurice Aloysius and Rose Christman Harmon. His brothers were Marty and Maurice. In the late 1940s the parents and each sibling with their families moved to Antioch, Illinois.

He was an electrician by trade. He met and married my Aunt Ann in Chicago, in 1941, after she came had moved there to work as a nurse. Years later in the 1960s they owned and operated a nursing home about a block from Lake Geneva in an old mansion built after the Civil War. Uncle Eddie and Aunt Ann retired to Forest Park in the 1970s then later to Las Vegas where he passed away after a brief illness.
