Dimple Harlin Brandon, age 86, of Gamaliel, passed away Monday, July 25, 2011 at Alive Hospice at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.

She was born in Monroe County, KY on October 14, 1924 to the late Norman Pink Harlin and Mary Ford Harlin. She was a retired bookkeeper and office manager for Black & Co. Hardware in Decatur, IL. She graduated from Gamaliel High School in 1942 and was Salutatorian of her class. She was united in marriage on April 29, 1942 to Clifton "Pete" Brandon who preceded her in death on March 14, 2007. She was a member of Gamaliel Baptist Church.

She is survived by three sons: Gary Brandon and Harold Scott Brandon both of Lawrenceburg, TN, William "Bill" Brandon of Tompkinsville, one daughter: Clara Estella Brandon of L.A., CA, half brother: Ronald Harlin of Scottsburg, AL 11 grandchildren 16 great grandchildren 2 great- great grandchildren

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother: Harold Dean Harlin.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Strode's Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel with burial to follow in the Gamaliel Cemetery.
