Mrs. Effie E. Glass, of ?11 Third Street, Huntingdon, died Friday, June 13, 1969 at 10:25 p.m. in the J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. Mrs. Glass had become ill Tuesday and was admitted to the hospital shortly afterwards. Born August 30, 1890, at East Freedom , she was a daughter of Albert and Viola (Hetrick) Harker. She was united in marriage to Aloysius B. Glass at Newry in 1907. He preceded her in death on December 19, 1959. Surviving are the following children: Arthur C. Glass, Hermosa Beach, Calif.; Henry D. Glass, Cleveland, Ohio; Mrs. Ernest (Alma) Hooper and Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Withers, both of Altoona; Leo S. Glass and James R. Glass, both of Huntingdon R.D. 3 and Paul E. Glass, of Akron, Ohio. One son, Roy , preceded her in death. There are 20 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, surviving as well as a sister, Mrs. Laura Piper, Altoona. Two brothers preceded her in death. Mrs. Glass was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Huntingdon. She belonged to the Ladies Altar Society of the church. The deceased had moved to Huntingdon from Lakemont in April, 1923 and had been a resident of Huntingdon since that time. Interment was made in Holy Cross Cemetery, Huntingdon.
