Clemmie Walter Harjo, Jr. passed away at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City on Wednesday morning, October 12, 2011, at the age of fifty-five years. Clemmie was the son of Clemmie Harjo, Sr. & Stella (George) Harjo, born on November 20, 1955, in Holdenville, Oklahoma. He was brought up in Holdenville and attended Fairview Schools through the 8th grade, and then attended Moss High School, graduating in 1974. He worked all his life as a roughneck in the oilfield, while also working in construction and as an auto mechanic. He loved fishing and hunting, and watching drag races. He was a member of the Many Springs Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clemmie Sr. & Stella Harjo; grandparents Sarney & Emma George, and Ben & Susie Harjo; several aunts and uncles. There will be a wake service on Saturday, October 15, 6:00 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home's Lillye Chapel. On Sunday, October 16, Clemmie will be taken at 4:00 p.m. to Middle Creek #2 Baptist Church for a wake service there at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Monday, October 17, 2011, 1:30 p.m. at Many Springs Baptist Church, and Clemmie will be laid to rest in the Harjo Family Cemetery east of Holdenville. Rev. Jimsey Harjo and Rev. Jimmy Anderson are the officiating ministers. Pallbearers are Stan Factor, Carey Goforth, Brian Factor, William George Jr., Leo Fish Jr., and Clem George. Honorary pallbearers are Henry Factor, Dean Goforth, Leon McPerryman, Benny Hester, Gene Harjo, Randy George, Gabe George, and Ronnie George.
