Paula Jean Bailey, age 72, of Garland, TX passed away February 21, 2011.

She was born December 10, 1938, in Kilgore, TX to Cecil and Pauline (Carroll) Hargis.

She graduated from Odessa High School and attended Odessa College. Paula cherished her family and friends – she was an avid reader, a passionate and creative painter and a talented art teacher. She was a member of the "Divas" art group, past President of the Yellow Rose Chapter of Decorative Painters, a member of the National Society of Decorative Painters, a member of Woodcreek Church and, until retirement, served as the Secretary of Board Support at Dart for 17 years.

As her daughter, Nikki, so aptly put it—Life was her canvas, not only was her paint brush filled with every imaginable color of the rainbow, it was filled with her love for God, family and friends which is evident in her art.

Her life has been a wonderful journey and chapter two will be absolutely amazing.

Her faith in her Savior kept her going and her favorite verse was Isaiah 41:13… "For I hold you by your right hand I, the Lord your God And I say to you Don't be afraid I am here to help you."
