VIOLA KAY ADAMS
Viola Kay Adams, 47, of Crossville, passed away June 15, 2000, in St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN. Funeral services were conducted June 18 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with burial in Mayland Cemetery. Bros. Robbie Miller, Kenny Smith and Kevin Smith officiated.
Mrs. Adams was born Feb. 25, 1953, in Putnam County, TN, the daughter of Oakley and Addie Smith Hargis, formerly of Wilder, TN.
She was a sterile distribution technician, and she was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Yvette Adams of Crossville; son, Steven Adams of Crossville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Geneva and Ray Shelton and Carolyn and Kenneth Madewell, all of Mayland, Evelyn Myler of French Lick, IN, Ruth Ann and Hollis Hall of Linary and Mary and J.B. McCrary of Crossville; ex-husband, Ernest Adams of Crossville; aunts and uncles, Mary and Myles Spurlin of Crawford, TN, Margaret and Rick Massimie of Tampa, FL, and Lucy Hargis Store of Crossville; special friends, Jewel Graham and Theda Taylor; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jimmy Hargis.
Pallbearers were Milas Spurlin, Bill Graham, Ronnie Smith, Donnie Smith, Danny Taylor and Kenneth Madewell.
Bilbrey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
