Rosa Jane Hargette, daughter of Willie Milton Hargette and Charity Ellen Thompson, and granddaughter of Mary Ellen Queen Hargette Rosa was born in North Carolina July 8, 1879; died of congestive heart failure and hypertensive heart disease in the Wayne Memorial Hospital, Goldsboro, NC, April 3, 1954; buried at Elmwood Cemetery, Charlotte, NC, April 5, 1954.
She married about 1900 Hiram Ellis Broom. They had eight children:
